Strawberry Lemonade

A twist on an old favourite, lemonade with strawberries and a hint of vanilla.

  • Makes: 1.5 litres (Approx)

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • Thick zest strips of 2 lemons
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1 x 250g punnet of strawberry, pureed
  • 2 cups soda water, chilled


  1. Place water, sugar and vanilla in a medium saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Place a punnet of strawberries into a food processor and puree.
  3. Take the sugar water off the heat, add the lemon zest and juice and allow to cool. When cooled add the strawberry puree and refrigerate. Add cold soda water just before serving.
